I am a pianist, organist and songwriter from Waco Texas. I grew up in an ever-changing musical and cultural environment since my father was in the Air Force. We moved every 4 years or less. By the time I was 21 I received an associates degree in audio engineering from McLennan Community College and toured in local bands in the Waco area. I transferred to Belmont University in 1989 and received a Bachelors degree in Commercial Music with emphasis areas in Arranging and Composition and Music Business in 1992. From there I hit the road.
Currently I play for Tracy Lawrence and having a blast doing it! In the past I have played for Casey James, Steve Holy, Kenny Chesney, Jo Dee Messina, Chad Brock, Andy Griggs, Blake Shelton, Laura Bell Bundy, James Otto, Sarah Darling, Jimmy Wayne and more.
I wrote a song with Blake Shelton called "Love gets in the way" which was on the "Blake Shelton's Barn and Grill" record. I also got to play on the recording. I have several indie cuts including cuts by Lisa Manning, Devon Nickoles, and a jingle by The City of Nashville for the Nashville Star commuter train. I also speak at songwriting seminars nationwide.
I continue to write, perform and record in Nashville where I live with my wife and 2 daughters.
